BM: Your debut EP 11:11 is dropping on September 20, 2024. What does this release mean to you both personally and creatively?
TY:PO: It's an important release for us, since it's the first one. We planned to test the earthlings with few tracks that reminds us why the drum and bass it's the perfect genre for partying, both for us, coming from another planet, but also for you.
BM: Can you walk us through the creative process behind 11:11? What inspired the tracks on this EP?
TY:PO: We've listened to everything we could from the Earth drum and bass community. The past inspired the tracks on the EP.
BM: Why did you choose the title 11:11 for your debut EP? Is there a particular significance or story behind the name?
TY:PO: The EP mix that we first posted online was 11 minutes and 11 seconds long. We also know that humans have different scenarios regarding identical hours and minutes. If you see 11:11, know that some aliens love you and decided to give you something good to listen.
BM: Are there any specific themes or messages you wanted to convey through this EP?
TY:PO: As you can listen from the Youtube mix, it's time that you - humans - become the artists of your life.
BM: How would you describe the sound of 11:11? What sets it apart from other drum and bass releases out there?
TY:PO: While everyone is trying to come with different new sounds, we wanted to make sure that we will offer a tribute, at least, to the vintage drum and bass sounds.
BM: What are your expectations for 11:11? How do you hope it will be received by the drum and bass community and beyond?
TY:PO: Since it's a work-in-progress project developed by two aliens, TY and PO, we hope that people on Earth love it.
BM: Have you previewed any tracks from the EP to audiences? If so, what has the initial response been like?
TY:PO: Few humans listened to it on Youtube, but we blasted this EP at a so-called show that we held on our planet. Our kind loves it.
BM: 11:11 marks your debut. What can people expect from TY:PO in the near future? Are there plans for tours, more releases, or collaborations?
TY:PO: TY:PO is here to stay and help mankind develop the sounds of drum and bass. We will release more music soon. We are currently touring in our Galaxy, but we're availble also for tours on Earth.
BM: Do you see 11:11 as the foundation of your sound, or are there new directions you’re eager to explore in future projects?
TY:PO: As we mentioned, 11:11 it's only the beginning.
